U.S. Opens 12th Night of Strikes Against Iranian Military Targets

U.S. forces began a new round of strikes against Iranian military targets at 5:30 p.m. Eastern time, marking the 12th consecutive night of attacks. U.S. Central Command said the mission would continue to degrade Iran's ability to threaten civilian mariners and commercial vessels in regional waters. The campaign seeks to restore navigation through the Strait of Hormuz after Iranian attacks sharply curtailed shipping. The fresh wave began after Iran launched missiles and drones toward Jordan's Aqaba, on Israel's doorstep, while Israel has remained outside the renewed U.S.-Iran exchange.
