Terrorist Seizes Off-Duty Soldier's Rifle Near Susya, Flees

An attacker struck an off-duty IDF soldier, about 25, in the head with a rock near a farm in the Susya area of the southern Hebron Hills on Saturday evening. He seized the soldier's rifle, fired it into the air and fled toward a nearby Palestinian village, according to the report. The soldier was evacuated in moderate condition to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba. The IDF confirmed receiving a report of gunfire in the Susya sector, sent forces to the area and opened a pursuit, while saying the details remained under examination.
