Pedestrian, 27, Seriously Hurt in Route 6 Truck Collision

Magen David Adom ambulance beside a medical worker moving a patient on a stretcher

Magen David Adom said its Negev dispatch center received a report at 10:46 p.m. of a pedestrian struck by a truck on northbound Route 6 near the Beit Kama Interchange. EMTs and paramedics treated two people at the scene. A 27-year-old man in serious condition with head and limb injuries was taken to Soroka Medical Center, while a second person was lightly hurt. The official dispatch did not identify those involved, describe the truck or explain why the pedestrian was on the highway, and it gave no cause for the collision.
