Sharren Haskel Summoned to Testify in State Comptroller Election Probe

MK Sharren Haskel was summoned to give open testimony next week at Lahav 433 in the inquiry into the Knesset election for state comptroller. The summons follows her High Court affidavit saying New Hope MKs were required to video their secret-ballot votes and show the recordings to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Likud affidavits said no instruction was given and lawmakers who filmed did so voluntarily. Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and State Attorney Amit Aisman ordered police to examine the conflicting accounts; investigators will decide after Haskel’s testimony whether to open a criminal investigation into a potentially false High Court affidavit.
