Erdan Advances New Right-Wing Party Talks Ahead of October Vote

With Israel's election 88 days away, Gilad Erdan is advancing talks to form a new right-wing political framework. He is negotiating with former minister Yuli Edelstein, former Beit Shemesh mayor Aliza Bloch and businessman Hezi Nehama, who confirmed advanced discussions with Erdan. Erdan has required prospective partners to oppose joining a government with the Democrats, including outside support or assigning the party senior portfolios. The stance distinguishes his initiative from Hili Tropper and Yoaz Hendel's Home of Zionists, which is due to launch its campaign on Wednesday and is keeping broader post-election coalition options open.
