Iranian Foreign Minister Calls Turkey and Pakistan Over U.S. Strike Risk

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held separate calls Saturday night with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Pakistani army chief Asim Munir as regional tensions rose over possible renewed U.S. strikes. He discussed the consequences of what Tehran described as destabilizing American actions and the risk of wider insecurity. Araghchi warned against any U.S. military “adventurism,” saying Iran was fully prepared to defend its sovereignty, territorial integrity and national security and respond decisively. Iran’s Foreign Ministry separately said it would defend its rights and interests against attacks by the United States and Israel.
