Former prime minister Naftali Bennett said in a Saturday television interview that Qatar is currently a more dangerous enemy to Israel than Iran and vowed to designate Doha an enemy state if his Together party enters government. He accused Qatar of funding Hamas’s October 7 Nukhba terrorists, operating Al Jazeera, influencing American universities and reaching into the Prime Minister’s Office. Bennett said Qatar works against Israel from within and alleged that Israeli institutes, influencers and possibly officials are on its payroll. He also called replacing the current government his “life’s mission” ahead of the October 27 election.
