Gaza Envoy Urges Both Sides to Honor Trump Disarmament Plan

Board of Peace Gaza envoy Nickolay Mladenov said two days of Israeli strikes killed civilians and destroyed medical supplies after mediators worked to secure Palestinian factions' agreement to a roadmap for President Donald Trump's plan. He said the roadmap covers transferring civilian governance and decommissioning the factions' weapons. Mladenov stressed that both Israel and the Palestinian side have obligations under the comprehensive plan and the Sharm el-Sheikh agreement that secured the release of all hostages. He said his team is working with both parties, Egypt, Turkey, Qatar and the United States to de-escalate and create space for implementation.
