Ronen Tzur Criticizes Talk of Likud Slot for Yair Netanyahu

Strategic adviser Ronen Tzur said in a Sunday radio discussion that he opposed speculation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu could reserve a place for his son Yair on Likud's election slate. Tzur sarcastically said the prime minister would not impose the long hours and demands of Knesset work on his son, adding that he hoped the idea did not reflect a family rift. He accused the Netanyahu family of recasting the state in its own image and said such a move would produce celebratory videos from supporters. Tzur argued the episode reflected what he described as Likud's loss of contact with the national and public interest.
