Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman urged President Donald Trump to de-escalate and refrain from launching massive new strikes against Iran, according to U.S. officials and another source briefed on their Saturday call. Trump is considering attacks on Iranian energy targets in the coming days but has not issued final orders. Riyadh asked Washington for clarity on its plan after Saudi officials conveyed the same de-escalation message in White House meetings. Iran has threatened attacks on energy and infrastructure facilities in Israel and Gulf states if U.S. or Israeli forces strike.
