Civil Commission Rejects Finkelstein’s October 7 Sexual-Violence Denial

Norman Finkelstein said during Hasan Piker’s streaming program that sexual violence by Hamas on October 7 “never happened,” arguing that the Civil Commission’s archive contained no visual proof. Commission chair Dr. Cochav Elkayam-Levy rejected the denial, saying its two-year investigation found recurring patterns of rape, sexual torture, mutilation, forced nudity and other abuses. The commission’s report draws on survivor and eyewitness testimony, first-responder accounts, authenticated visual documentation and other primary evidence. The investigation used more than 400 testimonies and nearly 2,000 hours of visual analysis.
