Qedma Software Helps IBM Demonstrate Quantum Advantage

Israeli startup Qedma supplied the error-mitigation software used in an IBM-led experiment that measured a Floquet Ising magnet on a 74-qubit Heron R3 processor. The team reports percent-level precision in regimes where leading tensor-network simulations failed to converge and sparse Pauli-path simulations remained strongly dependent on truncation despite extensive work on advanced GPUs and Japan’s Fugaku supercomputer. Researchers reproduced selected results on Quantinuum trapped-ion hardware. The paper is a preprint and has not yet been peer reviewed; its authors say the validation stack supports using error-mitigated quantum processors as quantitative scientific instruments.
