More than 20 Israeli arts and professional bodies have formed the Culture and Creation Coalition, which says it represents over 10,000 creators, organizations and institutions across theater, film, television, literature, dance, music, visual art and museums. The coalition plans to meet party leaders and send a policy paper to every electoral list. Its platform calls for gradually raising public culture spending toward 1% of the state budget, compared with about 0.15% today, and legislating formal status for artists and creators. It also seeks broader cultural access, professional independence in support decisions and stronger international promotion of Israeli culture.
