Yoseph Haddad Says 2021 Events Changed His View on a Palestinian State

Yoseph Haddad responded early Sunday to a resurfaced Saudi television interview, saying the excerpt was edited and came from more than five years ago. Haddad said his views on a Palestinian state changed during Operation Guardian of the Walls, after violence in Israel’s mixed cities convinced him that this was not the solution. He quoted Amcha Israel’s principles as stating that a Palestinian state would not be established in the Land of Israel. He also said the older interview rejected accusations of Israeli apartheid, identified Iran as a threat and described Hamas as a terrorist organization.
