Former prime minister Naftali Bennett told Reichman University’s international counterterrorism conference on Tuesday morning that his party would make a proposed “Deri Law” a basic condition for the next government. He said people who evaded IDF service or encouraged evasion should be barred from the security cabinet. He also pledged compulsory enlistment for everyone and an end to state funding for draft evaders. Bennett argued that prolonged deployments were exhausting soldiers and that the army needed reinforcement, presenting the proposed restrictions as part of his election platform.
