Liberman Says a Coalition With Netanyahu, Deri and Goldknopf Would Undermine Conscription

Avigdor Liberman warned on Monday that anyone seeking to form a government with Benjamin Netanyahu, Aryeh Deri and Yitzhak Goldknopf would fail to recruit even one soldier. In a Hebrew statement, he linked the composition of a future coalition to the prospects for conscription. Liberman also argued that granting exemptions in advance to 25% of people avoiding service would amount to abandoning conscription for everyone. The percentage was presented as his criticism, rather than as a confirmed exemption in force. His post tagged Ofer Winter.
