Davidi Ben Zion Withdraws From Ofer Winter’s Amcha Israel Slate

Davidi Ben Zion withdrew from the eighth spot on Ofer Winter’s Amcha Israel election slate, notifying Winter on Tuesday evening. The deputy head of the Samaria Regional Council said he feared voters’ ballots would not translate into Knesset seats if the party failed to clear the electoral threshold. Amcha Israel regretted his departure and alleged that improper pressure had been exerted on him and his family. Religious Zionism leader Bezalel Smotrich welcomed the move and called on Winter and fellow candidates Eran Ben Ari and Lali Deri to withdraw as well.
