Oren Dobronsky Drops Likud Knesset Bid, Says He Prefers AI Ministry

Technology entrepreneur Oren Dobronsky announced that he will not run for the Knesset on the Likud slate. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had offered him a top-ten reserved place and an artificial-intelligence portfolio. Dobronsky said their prior agreement was for him to serve solely as a professional minister, and that he wants to work with Netanyahu to make Israel an AI powerhouse. A senior Likud official told Walla that the reversal followed a requirement to relinquish his U.S. citizenship, leaving Netanyahu six reserved places to fill.
