Netanyahu Misses Likud Court Deadline, Promises Reserved Names Tuesday

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu let the Likud tribunal’s 21:00 deadline pass without submitting his reserved candidates, after the court ordered disclosure ahead of a secretariat vote. Likud legal adviser Ilan Bombach then filed an urgent response asking the tribunal to cancel the order, arguing that the 19:05 ruling left only 115 minutes. The party said Netanyahu would submit the names Tuesday morning so secretariat members could review them for several hours. David Bitan’s petition also challenges a special ninth reserved place for Israel Katz beyond the eight slots granted to Netanyahu.
