Likud Secretariat Approves Netanyahu’s Reserved Slate as Avivi Withdraws

The Likud Secretariat approved Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s reserved candidates for the party’s Knesset slate after an internal fight over how the list would be authorized. Talik Gvili received slot 9, Jacob Bardugo slot 11, Elisha Medan slot 15 and David Peter slot 16; former Labor lawmaker Eli Goldschmidt and bereaved father Itzik Bonzel were also included. Amir Avivi withdrew from slot 35 so MK Avihai Boaron could move to a more realistic position. Netanyahu’s office said Avivi is expected to serve as an outside minister if Likud forms the next government.
