Candidate-List Registration Closes for Israel’s October 27 Election

Israel’s Central Elections Committee said the second and final day for submitting candidate lists for the 26th Knesset ended successfully late Tuesday. The committee’s official notice enumerated 20 lists filed on the final day, including Shas, Likud, Blue and White, Religious Zionism with Zehut, the Joint List, United Torah Judaism and Noam LeYisrael. It also recorded each slate’s requested ballot letters. The committee pointed to October 27 as the next destination, marking the close of the formal filing stage ahead of the national election.
