Houthis Claim Ballistic Missile Strike on Saudi Tanker Off Yanbu

Yemen's Iran-backed Houthis said they fired ballistic missiles at the Saudi oil tanker Wafa in the northern Red Sea off Yanbu. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree announced the operation in a prerecorded statement but provided no evidence that the vessel was hit, and did not say when the alleged attack occurred. Saudi Arabia did not immediately comment on the claim. Saree said Wafa was the eighth ship targeted since the group declared a blockade of Saudi-linked shipping on July 22, part of a broader campaign threatening commercial traffic through the Red Sea.
