Israel Conducts Planned Arrow Missile-Defense Test

Israel's Defense Ministry, IDF and Israel Aerospace Industries conducted a preplanned test of the Arrow air-defense system on Wednesday evening. An interceptor missile was launched during the test, and its trail was visible along the southern coastal plain and from Ashdod, where residents initially reported what appeared to be an interception. The organizations clarified that the activity was a planned test rather than an operational security incident. The Defense Ministry said additional information about the test and its results would be released in the coming hours.
