October 7 Nukhba Operative Caught Working as Aid Truck Driver Near Kerem Shalom

Israeli security forces arrested a Hamas Nukhba operative who took part in the October 7 massacre of Gaza-envelope communities, catching him Thursday in the Rafah area while he worked as a truck driver on the Gazan side of the Kerem Shalom crossing. Defense officials said a private Gaza merchant had hired him to haul a consignment of aid destined for the Strip's private sector. Forces located him after intelligence reached the security establishment, and he was transferred for further questioning. Officials said Hamas levies taxes of up to 30 percent on local merchants and exploits private-sector trade and aid mechanisms to rebuild its military and civilian control.
