Poll Puts Netanyahu Coalition at 48 Seats, Eisenkot Leads PM Matchup

A new national poll puts Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's coalition at 48 Knesset seats, with Likud on 21 and Gadi Eisenkot's Yashar on 23. The Zionist opposition reaches 57 seats, while Zionist Home–The Reservists could bring that bloc to 61 with its projected four seats. Eisenkot leads Netanyahu 49% to 38% when respondents are asked who is more suitable to serve as prime minister. Lazar Research surveyed 506 Jewish and Arab Israeli adults on August 12–13, with a maximum sampling error of 4.4 percentage points. The survey invited 3,112 adults and recorded a 16% response rate.
