Likud Begins Counting Primary Ballots at Bloomfield With Final Slate Due Tuesday

Likud ballot committee members began a manual count of paper voting forms at polling sites across the country on Monday night, immediately after the party's Knesset primary closed at 21:00. The count is conducted under the supervision of an attorney acting for the Likud, covering 503 ballot boxes at 107 polling sites. Each site transfers its tally to the party's central command center at Bloomfield Stadium in Jaffa for a second count, and the first boxes from Jerusalem and Tel Aviv have already been tabulated. MK David Bitan set up a separate command center in Ramat Hasharon. Official final results establishing the slate are expected Tuesday morning.
