Pinhas Idan Says He Will Not Appeal Likud Expulsion

Pinhas Idan, chairman of the Israel Airports Authority’s general employees committee, told Likud tribunal president Michael Kleiner that he will not appeal Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s move to expel him from the party. Idan wrote that he and his family had belonged to the Likud Central Committee for more than 50 years. He denied ordering the August 20 shutdown at Ben Gurion Airport and said he had demanded an uncompromising inquiry to identify who did. Idan said he would continue faithfully representing Airports Authority employees and remained committed only to them.
