Yashar announced that former minister and major general Elazar Stern has officially joined the party led by former IDF chief Gadi Eisenkot, ten days after Stern left Yesh Atid following 11 years. Stern said he was joining after years of knowing Eisenkot and trusting his leadership. Eisenkot described Stern as an experienced minister, lawmaker and major general who represents state-oriented Religious Zionism. Stern entered the Knesset in 2013, later served as intelligence minister, and previously commanded the IDF Officers Training School, served as chief education officer and headed the Manpower Directorate.
