Tel Aviv Issued Over 55,000 Scooter Tickets as Jerusalem Issued None

Tel Aviv-Yafo municipal inspectors issued more than 55,000 electric-scooter tickets in 2025, collecting over NIS 29 million, according to municipal responses compiled by road-safety group Or Yarok. Jerusalem reported about 50 authorized inspectors and managers but said it conducted no active scooter enforcement; nine other municipalities also recorded zero tickets. Ashkelon ranked a distant second with 4,217 tickets, followed by Rishon LeZion with 3,314 and Holon with 2,771. The report cautioned that the figures were not normalized for the number of scooters operating in each city.
