EU Envoy Visits Qusra and Calls for Accountability After Settler Attack

EU Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process Christophe Bigot visited Qusra on August 30 with EU Representative Office staff and humanitarian organizations. The village council head briefed the delegation on recent violence and homes described as besieged, and Bigot spoke by phone with a resident of one home involved in the weekend incident. The EU statement condemned extremist violence, called for accountability, and said the bloc supports protection and assistance for threatened Palestinians. Qusra is southeast of Nablus, and the visit took place on Sunday morning.
