Foreign Press Association Urges Protection After Journalists Attacked in Jalud

Israel’s Foreign Press Association said it was deeply alarmed after journalists and a Palestinian civilian were attacked in Jalud in Judea and Samaria. The statement followed an assault on an NBC News crew that was interviewing a Palestinian woman, during which masked attackers were filmed. The association said the incident was part of a recurring pattern of violence against journalists and Palestinian civilians. It called on IDF Central Command and Israel Police to investigate, hold those responsible accountable and take immediate concrete steps to protect reporters working in Judea and Samaria; no arrests had been reported.
