Iris Haim Offers Support to Aviad Frija During Yuval Castelman Trial

Iris Haim, whose son Yotam escaped Hamas captivity and was mistakenly killed by IDF troops in Gaza, publicly offered support to soldier Aviad Frija as his trial continues over the mistaken killing of Yuval Castelman. Haim wrote that Frija went out on October 7 to defend Israelis and later killed two terrorists before striking Castelman while trying to neutralize an attacker. She compared the case with the deaths of Yotam Haim, Alon Shamriz and Samer Talalka, saying her family chose not to blame the soldiers involved. Haim said she had met Frija's family, was not judging Castelman's relatives, and urged compassion, love and hope.
