Segalovitz Joins Ra’am as First Jewish Candidate, Taking No. 2 Slot

Former MK Yoav Segalovitz announced at a joint Nazareth press conference with Ra’am chair Mansour Abbas that he will take the No. 2 slot on the party’s Knesset slate, becoming its first Jewish candidate. Under the arrangement, Segalovitz will join the slate and future faction without formally joining the party, while Ra’am’s constitution and decision-making structure remain unchanged. He will retain voting freedom on religion and state, security, and LGBTQ issues, and promote national-civil service in Arab society. Abbas said their previous work against crime showed why he chose Segalovitz, and said Ra’am intends to seek government responsibility for combating crime and violence.
