TA-35 Ends August Up 1% Despite 0.81% Final-Day Fall

Tel Aviv’s TA-35 index fell 0.81% on August’s final trading day to 4,138.58, but finished the month 1% higher. The TA-125 lost 0.62% to 4,056.60, while equity turnover reached NIS 4.59 billion and bond turnover NIS 3.44 billion. Technology shares declined 1.43% as the bank index gained 0.20%; Tower Semiconductor fell 6.72%, while Nice rose 5.25%. The Bank of Israel set the representative dollar rate 0.674% higher at NIS 2.9880 and the euro rate 0.263% higher at NIS 3.4658.
