Rehovot City Hall and Workers’ Committee Reach Framework for Recovery Agreement

Rehovot's municipal administration and workers' committee reached a framework for a recovery agreement after a prolonged dispute, subject to Finance Ministry approval. Officials announced the framework at a municipal staff gathering in Park HaHadarim attended by city and municipal-corporation employees, directors and council members. Mayor Matan Dil said the city's 2026 budget is balanced and that growth should begin in 2027 after accumulated deficits reached hundreds of millions of shekels. Municipal CEO Yosfa Haliva said the arrangement gives the recovery process a more stable base while preserving workers and services for residents.
