UAE Leader Warned Netanyahu of Hamas Move Before October 7, Report Says

A newly published investigation says UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed called Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for about 45 minutes in late September 2023 and warned that Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar was preparing a major action. It says the warning described likely bloodshed, regional destabilization and damage to the Abraham Accords, while Netanyahu replied that Israel was monitoring Gaza and prepared. The investigation says Netanyahu did not relay the call to Israel’s security chiefs. The Prime Minister’s Office called the account “an absolute lie” and denied that the call or warning occurred.
