Health Ministry Sends New Suspected Ebola Patient to Hadassah Isolation

The Health Ministry says a person who returned to Israel from the Democratic Republic of the Congo several days ago developed a fever and is being treated as a suspected Ebola case. The patient will be isolated and transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem while laboratory tests are completed, with results expected in the coming days. The ministry said it has completed epidemiological contact tracing and that anyone it does not contact need take no action. It added that Ebola is not airborne and advised returnees who develop fever or unusual symptoms within 21 days to remain home, avoid contact and call *5400.
