Arkia added an eight-year-old Airbus A330-300 to commercial service overnight, deploying it from Tel Aviv to New York. The aircraft has 245 seats, including 45 in business class and 200 in economy, and joins an A330-200 already operating in Arkia colors. The airline now operates three to four wide-body aircraft depending on operational needs, with the new plane intended mainly for the New York route. Chief executive Oz Berlovitz said the addition advances Arkia’s long-haul strategy and that New York has become one of its flagship routes.
