Tel Aviv-Yafo’s municipal administration and the Community Rabbis Association reached an agreement that the Tel Aviv District Court gave the force of a judgment, allowing a disputed Selichot gathering to proceed at Tel Baruch Beach. Preparations are scheduled to begin Saturday night at 23:00, followed by the central prayers and hatarat nedarim at 00:15. The association petitioned after the municipality conditioned the event on having no physical means of gender separation, arguing that the condition prevented prayer according to halacha and harmed religious freedom. The published report did not disclose the agreement’s precise arrangements.
