Tower Rises 7% as SolarEdge Falls 4% in U.S. Trading

Courtroom-sketch editorial illustration of a circular silicon wafer with a repeated chip grid and three dark central gaps; archival April2010 generic semiconductor context, not a Tower-specific wafer, SolarEdge equipment or the October2026 trading session.

Tower shares rose about 7% during U.S. trading on Thursday, October 1, while SolarEdge fell about 4%, giving the two Israeli companies sharply different performances as the major American indices moved lower. In the intraday snapshot reported that evening, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was down roughly 0.7%, the S&P 500 about 0.3% and the Nasdaq about 0.4%. The indices had opened higher before turning lower. The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield reached about 5.3% earlier in the session before easing somewhat. Trading was still underway, so the share and index changes were not final closing results.
