The IDF confirmed on Saturday night that it and the Shin Bet targeted Ali al-Amoudi, deputy chairman of Hamas's political bureau in Gaza, in an overnight airstrike in Gaza City. The military said he was in an apartment used for terrorist activity inside a residential building. It described him as Yahya Sinwar's right-hand man and personal assistant and said he participated in decision-making for the October 7 massacre. The IDF said precision munitions were among the measures taken to reduce civilian harm and that the strike's results were still under examination.
