Housing Ministry Resumes Discounted Housing Eligibility Applications

The Ministry of Construction and Housing has resumed issuing and renewing eligibility certificates for Israel's Dira BeHanhaha discounted-housing program after a September suspension for information-system changes. Applicants and their spouses, where applicable, must not be classified in IDF records as subject to conscription whose military status has not been regularized; the criterion also covers waiting lists from earlier lotteries. A new certificate costs NIS 200, and processing can take up to 10 working days or longer if external information is delayed. Certificates are valid for one year, with timely renewal costing NIS 50. No date for the next lottery was announced.
