PMO Condemns Nobel Peace Prize Award to Navi Pillay

The Prime Minister's Office condemned the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize award to Navi Pillay on Friday, saying the committee had lost its moral compass. In a statement on its official X account, the office accused Pillay of inventing and spreading blood libels against Israel. The Norwegian Nobel Committee said it selected Pillay for her efforts to promote peace and international law, citing her commitment to universal legal principles. Its announcement described her as a former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights who until recently chaired the UN inquiry concerning Israel and the Palestinian territories.
