Police Deem Bomb Threats at Two Brooklyn Jewish Schools Unfounded

Police deemed bomb threats at two Jewish schools in Brooklyn unfounded after evacuations and searches on Friday, October 9. The threatening calls targeted Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School and United Talmudical Academy of Williamsburg, arriving six minutes apart, with the first at about 9:54 a.m. local time. New York Police Department Emergency Service Units and K9 teams responded to the schools at 1609 Avenue J and 590 Bedford Avenue. Students and staff returned to their classrooms after the searches, and police reported no injuries.
