Police detained more than 40 people staying in Israel without authorization during raids on several buildings, hiding places in open areas and major junctions, according to a statement disclosed on October 9. Those detained included many children under 12, below the age of criminal responsibility. Police said the children were returned to Palestinian Authority territory after checks and coordination with PA officials. Several adults were arrested and brought before a court, where police requested extensions of their detention. No location or date for the raids was provided.
