Suspect Critically Injured After Police Chase Ends in Route 60 Crash and Fire

A suspect was critically injured after a suspected stolen car fleeing police overturned and caught fire on Route 60 between Gad Natan and the bypass junction, according to Hatzalah Judea and Samaria rescuers. Rescuers said the vehicle broke through a roadblock, endangered officers and rammed a police vehicle; a procedure to arrest the suspects included gunfire. The injured suspect was extracted from the car, while another suspect fled on foot. Another Israeli vehicle struck a guardrail during the incident, and a woman suffered a very minor injury without requiring medical treatment.
