Mike Pompeo Criticizes Nobel Peace Prize Award to Navi Pillay

Mike Pompeo criticized the Norwegian Nobel Committee’s decision to award the Nobel Peace Prize to Navi Pillay in an October 9 post on X. The former U.S. secretary of state accused Pillay of promoting modern-day blood libel and described the award as “Absolutely disgusting - but hardly surprising.” The committee announced earlier that day that Pillay, a former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights who recently chaired the UN inquiry concerning Israel, would receive the 2026 prize. It said the award recognized “her efforts to promote peace and international law.”
