Jerusalem Municipality Denies Reports of Shelter Openings and Raised Alert

Jerusalem Municipality denied reports circulating in recent hours that public shelters were being opened and the city's security readiness was being raised. In an October 12 clarification, it said the reports were false. The municipality asked both Jerusalem residents and the general public to avoid spreading unverified information about the situation in the city. It also said the public should rely on official announcements from Jerusalem Municipality and the Home Front Command for information.
