Carrefour Israel Reportedly Plans Two-Week Price Review

Carrefour Israel reportedly plans to compare its regular prices with competing retailers over the next two weeks and make reductions accordingly. About 100 products from the outgoing Israel’s Basket programme will receive particular scrutiny, with the chain planning to avoid automatically restoring their pre-programme prices except where suppliers have raised prices. The government-backed basket is scheduled to finish on the evening of October 14. Carrefour is moving to its own Special Deal discount programme, with promotions rotating twice monthly across its 144 branches and different product selections for its neighbourhood, Market and Hyper formats.
