Health Ministry Warns Against Balfour Cigars Pastries and Ilanit’s Kubbeh

Israel’s Health Ministry warned on October 14 against eating pastel pastries sold as Balfour Cigars and meat kubbeh sold as Ilanit’s Kubbeh, covering every package size and expiry date. The notice lists potato, piquant and hot pastel pastries, plus meat kubbeh for cooking or frying. Routine Food Service inspections and a citizen complaint found that the manufacturers were not known to the ministry and the products’ origin was unknown. Consumers were asked not to eat these products and to buy food from known sources and authorized sellers. The Food Service is continuing its investigation.
